Since 2005, the staff at CMC has come together to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer.  This year a momentous slide show was created by Brandy Swartzwelder, Marketing Coordinator, in honor of those years and the fundraising themes behind them.

Statistics concerning U.S. consumer expenditures by household size was released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Healthcare rose 5% in 2009, which was the only increase in the major spending components.

Workers will see their out-of-pocket share of health coverage increase rapidly, due in part to the economy and in part to health care reform mandates. Medical ARM firms will see more receivables as a result.

HITECH Act Notificaton

Breach Notification Rule
Interim final breach notification regulations, issued in August 2009, implement section 13402 of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act by requiring HIPAA covered entities and their business associates to provide notification following a breach of unsecured protected health information. Similar breach notification provisions implemented and enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), apply to vendors of personal health records and their third party service providers, pursuant to section 13407 of the HITECH Act.
